In search of turtles and dolphins
Off the coast of the Delta, the Adriatic holds a discreet and fascinating life. Setting sail from the port, the experience takes you out to sea to discover its most beloved inhabitants: the Caretta caretta sea turtles, which rise to the surface to breathe, and the dolphins that sometimes accompany the boat with their sudden darts. It is not a show on demand, but an authentic encounter with nature, to be awaited with patience and curiosity.
On board, your gaze slowly gets used to the horizon: you learn the signs to look for on the water, the way in which the light reveals a fin or a back, the behavior of seabirds that often indicate the presence of fish and, with it, life. Those who lead the outing know the sea and its creatures, and tell about the balances of this ecosystem, the routes of the animals and the projects that protect their survival, transforming waiting into knowledge. No exit is the same as the previous one, because the sea changes constantly and with it its inhabitants: it is precisely this unpredictability that makes each sighting a small gift, welcomed with amazement and gratitude.
The sighting always takes place in respect of the animals, keeping the distance and letting them choose the proximity. It is an outing that combines the wonder of the open sea with the awareness of being part of it: the wind, the salt, the deep blue of the water and, if luck assists, the emotion of an encounter that remains etched in your mind. A different way of experiencing the coast, which looks at the Adriatic not as a postcard, but as a living world to be observed and protected.
